Daily inventory check

Hi all, I have been searching around and come across to this forum and I think this forum may able to solve my problem.

My problem is, due to the operation need, I have to do the inventory check for like 100+ items everyday to confirm their existing.

My supervisor provided me a laptop computer and a barcode scanner, the 100+ items are already have serial number and barcode.

Is it possible to input all the items into the excel and use the barcode to scan for the existing of the item instead of use the paper form?

It would be much more helpful to make a worksheet that looks like what you want, with fake results. No functionality is needed, just something to give us a better idea of what you want.

Thank you jme1013, I have attached the worksheet that I would like to do in my mind.
Please note that I plan to use barcode scanner to check and the item label's barcode is equal to the serial number.

I did it two different ways with conditional formatting.
I added a second tab for the other option.

@intel123hk, are you just checking that 'items' are present OR are you doing an inventory count each time ????

torachan, I am just checking that items are present only. Since every items I have different serial number.
