How to find empty cells

    How to find empty cells

    Hi all,

    I have attached 2 files. 1 in Excel format and other one in CSV format.
    it is actually the same file.

    Problem what I have is, IF I open CSV file in TEXT, I can see empty rows. which I cant see in Excel.

    Number,Name,Employee
    455,A,12.
    5345,B,13.
    345345,C,43.
    4353,D,544.
    345,E,76.
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,
    ,,

    is there a way to be able to see in excel itself? its not usual that we go to CSV and see this.

    Put your cursor in A1
    and then ctrl shift end

    The empty rows are there. Technically speaking though, no you cant see them as you do in the csv as the commas in the csv are the delimiters used by Excel to split data across columns and thus arent shown in Excel.

    So essentially something like ",," is saying to split nothing across 3 columns in Excel.

    As pointed out however Excel knows the used range encompasses those empty rows from the csv however.
