Question Extracting values from mixed content in the cell.

    Hi guys,

I have a one interesting problem and I need comunity help to solve it.

Please take a look at this image:
    http://prntscr.com/hqg42y

5.780 RSD is the date that I got by scraping certain HTML page and represents the price of certain product.
Unfortunally in order to work with it I need value to be formated as number automatically.

Is there certain formula that I can apply to get the value formated as number adter this scarping is done?

    Thank you
    Dean

    Re: Simple problem, hidden solution.

    =value(a1)

    A1 = 5.780 RSD

Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

To change a Title go to your first post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

Re: Extracting values from mixed content in the cell.

    Maybe....

    =--LOOKUP(99^9,LEFT(A1,ROW($1:$30))+0,LEFT(A1,ROW($1:$30)))

    Maybe....

    =--LOOKUP(99^9,LEFT(A1,ROW($1:$30))+0,LEFT(A1,ROW($1:$30)))

but substitute ; for , - because of your location.
