I am trying to query a table by having a input cell which returns all relevant lines

Hi All,

First of all - My apologies, i was trying to add an excel doc but it wouldn't work so i posted it below.

I am trying to query a table by having an input cell which then returns all relevant lines from the table containing that input information. I am using a pivot table at the moment but it wont let me return a text cell - i think this is because pivot tables are numerical?

Random Fruit Class Comment
X Apple A Okay
X Apple B Rotten
X Banana A Okay
X Banana B Rotten
X Banana C Maybe
X Orange A Okay
X Watermelon A Okay


Page 2 - Example

To attach an Excel file to your post,

• click Go Advanced,
• scroll down until you see Manage Attachments,
• click that and select Browse,
• select your file and click Open,
• click Upload and you will see your attachment below Upload Files from a website
• click Close this window,
• click Submit reply

After that you should see attachment in your post

I dont think it will attach for some reason. I have been able to attach files in the past following the same procedure i am now so i dont know why it wont work. Firewall prehaps?

there is some limitations:
xlsx < 1 MB
xlsm < 1 MB
xlsb < 10 MB

Its xlsx - 10.3 KB (10,586 bytes)

• log in
• try again
• paste here warning what you should see if file cannot be attached
• show the filename

file cannot be like this: ~$name_of_file...

Ye i have no idea what going on.I tried all that. And i have uploaded files in the past. All i can do for now is post as i did above.

do you really need single cell with keyword and table filtered by this keyword
or
filter in PivotTable will be enough ?

I thought that having a separate cell would look better but then realized issues would arise over entering in the exact code.

You cannot add more rep to the same person one by one, you need add rep to someone else before add rep to the previous person

anyway rule is like I said above : 1st person - rep, 2nd person - rep, 1st person - rep and so on...
or you need to wait, but I don;t know how long, to add rep again
