hi there. select the range you want to apply to (say from A5:E9)
go to Home tab -> Conditional Formatting -> New Rule -> Use a formula to determine which cells to format -> Format values where this formula is true:
=$A5="Check"
Format a fill color

Select A5:E9 and press Alt-O-D ->>>New Rule->>>Use a formula to determine which cell to format->>>Put =$A5="Check" in formula section->> click on format->> Choose format as you want then ok ok.
