Extracting and Consolidate Raw data from one sheet to another

Hi, I am trying to find a more efficient process to get my huge raw data which I receive into my upload template. Please see attached worksheet.

As you can see I have given a little sample of my raw data. I then have to consolidate it to my Template Tab. I am trying to find a more excel driven process where it can fill all the information instead of me doing it manually. The four categories in the template are highlighted that is when the raw data is eventually goes to. Currently everything is done manually. I am trying find some sort of formula or better a vba code in which the “Upload template” can go into my “Raw data” tab and pick up the necessary information. Can anyone please help.

...There's no need to fear.....Underdog (Pivot Tables) is here!!! Check out using a pivot table, you can then display data and if it's not to your liking, you can drag the data and PIVOT it (so if you don't want it in the ROW move it to the COLUMN area.

I have thought about Pivot Table as well before. My main thing is to bring my Pivot Table data into my "Upload Template" tab. I trying to find a more optimize way so the data can populate in the "Orange" highlighted sections more efficiently rather than doing it manually employee by employee.

You can format the Pivot table in a way to import data. see attached. Best of luck

How were you able to format the Pivot table as your are doing now. I for some reason am not able to do it. Where you pull the Projects, DEPT ID in the Column B and C even though the Pivot Table is under the "ROWS"

Once you are in the pivot table you'll need to highlight the 'Total Rows' you'll get an ARROW and then you can Right Click on pivot table and "REMOVE SUBTOTALs"....there will be a check mark next to it. When selecting the Total data, All of the other totals will be highlighted in blue, then right click and UNCHECK "Subtotal by....". Just a bit of manipulation. I also prefer "Clasic" Pivot table ( in Display Tab ~ better presentation for me.) Cheers

You can always copy the Pivot Table to a STANDARD location, paste it in there and have a Macro Run from there. (It might even work better on Totals, but the word TOTAL will be in each row - may have to delete it. You can also check out DATA Subtotals....then you'll have to deal with the GROUPings. There a PITA (pain in the @ss) When one way doesn't work, try another. Good luck
