Currency column sometimes prints with wonky justification

I've got a strange occasional print error.

I have one column (on every sheet) in a set of sheets, in a workbook that is created every week from imported data. This column, which has all the numbers set to Currency format, prints correctly about 95% of the time. But every once in a while almost all of the amounts greater than $100 print out aligned such that the last digit of the cents is aligned with the $ sign of the amounts less than $100. This also aligns them next to the codes (text values) in the prior column withhout a space betweeen. The column border ends up overwriting the first digits of amount when this happens.

This column always displays the correct alignment on the screen. A reprint of an unchanged sheet that printed incorrectly has about the same 95% chance of printing correctly.

An approximate example is shown below, with the amount of the partially overwritten information in parentheses.

    HTML Code:
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Re: Currency column sometimes prints with wonky justification

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.
