Transposing several columns and two rows into one column

Hi, I think there must be an easy way to do this!

I have several columns and two rows of data, so for example:

    ABC DEF GHI JLK
    123 456 789 101112

and I want to transpose it into one column like this

    123
    ABC
    456
    DEF
    789
    GHI
    101112
    JLK

I have tried a pivot table, however I need the numbers first then the letters, (in alphabetical order). Its not as easy as just using the copy and paste transpose functions, so there must be some sort of formula??!!

    Thanks

Hi ciannyb and welcome to the forum,

Do your rows always go in pairs? Do you have only two rows of data in the worksheet?

If you attach a sample workbook, it is much easier for us to help with your problem.

    Hi there!

The rows are in pairs, and yes there are only rows of data in the whole worksheet (but 54 columns!)

    Thanks

    Hi ciannyb,

Find the attached that has two formulas to do what you want. Copy the yellow cell formulas (using both at the same time) down column A and you will get what you want. Then Copy and Paste using Values Only so you can then delete the top rows.
