Some cells do not show what you type in (but show clicked cell references in formulas) and only show after Enter.
How can I switch that off??
Thank you!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Would you upload the workbook and clarify your problem. At the moment it's not clear to me what you're getting at.

Hi Richard, and thank you for coming back so quickly.
However:
I have now tried for the best part of an hour to send a reply and attach the file - to no avail. One can't attach to replies, the New Post 'Manage Attachments" does not let you select files (the field is cut in half) and you first have to navigate a labyrinthine FAQ site...it's all too Microsoft for words!
I might find help easier somewhere else.
But thank you anyway,
Hans
The paper clip icon doesn't work, so click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

To display the cell contents, select "View" on the "Tool Bar" and tick mark "Formula Bar."
Hi....Try this. Go to "View" and then click on "Arrange all". Click OK for "Tiled".
if those two options dont work.... check this one...
That is probably because the the cell has custom formatting!, in excel if you want to have an entry in a cell but do not want it visible you can custom format to make to invisible.
Right click any offending cell choose Format | Custom in the "Type" box look for ;;; - it is these 3 semi colons that can make cell data invisible, anyway to get the sheet back to normal you could just press Ctrl+A then right click inside the highlighted area choose Format | General, all data will now be visible but you may have to re -format some cells if they were formatted for date or time etc.....
