trying to divide a specific number into a range of numbers

    Hi all, need help.

i have a specific number that i want to divide into a range of numbers eg:

    A2 is 98 B2 is 456,560
    B3 is 562,160
    B4 is 625,625
    B5 is 458,560
    B6 is 758,450
So i need the correct formula that will divide 98 into any B cell that i click onto, to give me the exact amount.

Thanks i hope someone can help.

Not clear for me. But may be you are interested in how many numbers are in column B and then divide your A2 by this count. to do so you could use
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Or may be you want to divide it proportionally - then in c2 use:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    and copy it down

Hi Kaper, thanks for reply, i copied and paste my spreadsheet, not sure if that will help.
So what i want to do is be able to click any of the total cells and below where i have the power amount, divide that into the total so it will give me the exact troop amount i need to send to clear that battleground, not sure if that makes any sense.
    Thanks

Not copy and paste (have you seen your post after it has been published?) - just attach a sample (simplified but keeping the general layout) workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
