    Using Table for Pivot Chart

I am trying to do something which I think is a basic Excel function but for some reason I can't seem to figure out. I have a data set (of which I've attached an example) that I am trying to put in a PivotChart so I can add a slicer to see dynamic results as I select different filters in the slicer.

In the second tab I've taken the data set and converted it so that each row only has one value vs my original data set which is more so a table with an X and Y axis. I've also put the PivotChart I would like to achieve using the first set of data. Is this possible?

And lastly, for some reason Excel removes the year from the dates in the PivotChart which makes the data set lose it's accuracy. I am working with a fiscal year so I would need to show April 2017 being the first month and March 2018 being the last part of the chart.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi,

See if this does what you want.

On your pivot table, right click on a month and then click on "Group" on the dropdown. Click on Year and Month (only) and then ok. See if that then does what you want.

Perfect, thanks! That solves that problem.

Now if I could just get the data in a pivot table using the first worksheet that would be great
