Excel Index Function

Hi,

I cannot for the life of me figure this out...

I have spreadsheet that pulls orders based on criteria. So it can be a list from 0 to 20.

If the list is 3, I want it to pull the top 17 orders from another sheet. If it is 12, I want it to pull the top 8.

So I want something like if this equation (criteria) = "", I want sheet1A2, next one down, I want sheet1A3. But I can't reference anything directly because the amount varies.

I'm guesing I need to use offset and count, but can't find anything similar. I really wish I could explain this better. My brain is gone.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
