    Tiered Pricing

    Hi All,

I have a scenario where we have different discounts for customers based off the MSRP

For example 10% if total invoice value is above $1000

20% if total invoice value is $1500 and so

What I would like to do so, is that based on the total order placed by the customer, the discount is applied automatically on the MSRP and the customer gets that specific discount based on his total invoice value (either 10% or 15% or 20% or son on)

How do I do that in excel or is there any ready made template or web application where that can be done and downloaded?

    Thanks a lot.

    Welcome to the forum!

It can be done easily by creating a lookup table in your workbook and then using that to adjust prices.

    Re: Tiered Pricing

    Hi Ali,

I am attaching it now. Would sincerely appreciate if you could help out. Right now, I have it set in different tabs and would like to have it in one sheet.

It isnt allowing me to attach the file.

I have it here. Can you download it from here?

    MSRP is the Retail Price
Distributor Price is the price they are buying at which is discount off MSRP mentioned at the top of the sheet
Case Price is distributor price * units.

    Sincerely appreciate your help

    Re: Tiered Pricing

Your post does not comply with Rule 8 of our Forum RULES. Do not crosspost your question on multiple forums without including links here to the other threads on other forums.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Expect cross-posted questions without a link to be closed and a message will be posted by the moderator explaining why. We are here to help so help us to help you!

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this, and then please edit your first post to include links to any and all cross-posts in any other forums (not just this site).

No - please attach it directly here using this forum's attachment facility, and please also provide links to all other forums where you have asked the same question. Do this first, please.

Please provide the links requested, and then I will guide you. Providing the links is NOT optional.

EDIT: You have now cross-potsed on yet another forum without providing links either here or there. You are currently breaching the rules here by not providing the links requested.

    Re: Tiered Pricing

You were asked to attach the workbook here.

    1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

    2. Make sure that your desired solution is also shown (mock up the results manually).

    3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

    4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.
