    Making a chart display only two colors

    Hello,

    I am trying to make my 3D Column chart display only two colors, Green for positive values and Red for negative values. My chart consists of 3 variables. I've attached the example. Anybody know how I can accomplish this for the colors? Does it require VBA?

    You can do it for each series at a time (there might be a way to select multiple series to do them all together, but I'm not enough of a chart guru to know it, sorry).
    1. On the chart, left-click on a bar to select one series.
    2. Right-click on it and choose 'Format Data Series'.
    3. Select 'Fill' on the left-hand side.
    4. On the right-hand side, choose 'Solid fill' (some others may work too, but this is the easiest to see).
    5. Below the radio buttons, select the box labelled 'Invert if negative'. You'll see a second colour box appear under 'Fill Color' below.
    6. Choose Green on the left-hand 'Fill color' and Red on the right-hand.
    7. Repeat for the rest of the Data Series.

    It takes a bit of time but works. I've done it for the chart on your example sheet, attached.

    Hope that helps.

    I recently started a new job so am a bit busy and may not reply quickly. Sorry - it's not personal - I will reply eventually.
    If your problem is solved, please go to 'Thread Tools' above your first post and 'Mark this Thread as Solved'.
    If you use commas as your decimal separator (1,23 instead of 1.23) then please replace commas with semi-colons in your formulae.
    You don't need to give me rep if I helped, but a thank-you is nice.

    @Aardigspook
    at point 1
    Easier is click on chart then from the ribbon: chart tools - Format - Current Selection - from drop down select series one by one and the rest is the same like point 2, 3 etc...
