Excel 2016 'Arrange All' with two open spreadsheets

I just installed Excel 2016 and noticed a significant difference in the 'Arrange All' function vs Excel 2010. When I arrange 3 spreadsheets horizontal in Excel 2016, it displays 3 ribbons for each workbook open (one ribbon for each workbook). In Excel 2010, only one ribbon was displayed (a shared ribbon for all 3 workbooks. This takes up an enormous amount of real estate on the screen. Is there a way to modify the display so it shows only one ribbon if multiple workbooks are open? I looked under options but could not find anything.

"From the horse's mouth" , Microsoft seems pleased to tell us on this link

In Microsoft Excel 2013 and Excel 2016, workbooks that you open in Excel are no longer displayed as multiple workbook windows inside a single Excel window. Instead, they are shown as separate Excel windows. Because workbooks don’t share the same Excel window, they are displayed with their own ribbon, and you can view the open workbooks on different monitors.
Looks like you may need to invest in 2 new monitors

    Hi,

I think the best you can do with a single monitor is collapsing the Ribbons on each window.

Thanks for the information. What a pain this is...especially if I have more than 4 workbooks open at time. I need a monitor 3 feet high just to see everything lol
