Worksheet with password

Hello, im trying to make a worksheet open with a password so that the user can add or edit information, if he doesn't have a password he can read only.

The objective is so that anyone can see the worksheet, but only a selected few can add information.

Im using the office 2016

Have them click the unprotect button, then they can enter a password to unprotect the sheet and edit.

Apologies - I misread "worksheet" - as "workbook" - so please ignore this!

Click on "Tools" when you save first time
- select "General Options"
- insert a password to modify
- check "Read Only" box
(makes everyone open the file as read only unless those authorised to modify elect to open in edit mode)

(or use "Save As" after file previously saved)
