    Data Entry Shortcuts?

    Hi all,

I am working for a F&B company which does not have any ERP system at the moment.
My colleague who is doing procurement has to spend a lot of time doing very manual data entry work, I am wondering if there is any shortcuts to enter the values faster or even automatically for certain fields.

I have created a sample spreadsheet to give a rough idea what are required to be enter. The actual no. of items and suppliers to key in are a lot more than the sample itself on a daily basis. There are other difficulties such as:
    • Frequent fluctuation of prices
    • Promotional prices
    • Beside a list of standard items which are purchase almost daily, new items are purchased to try out at times

There are a few ways I thought of simplifying the data entry:
    - Using conditional dropdown list for Supplier -> Item Description (however some suppliers can have up to 800 items)
    - Autofill in Category column base on Item Description. For this I tried using index and match function but I didn't manage to get it working.
    - Is there anyway to make the cells under the Item Description column searchable? I tried using combo box and it only works for one field/cell.

I shall truly appreciate if anyone can share your ideas on how to improvise this data entry process so that it is less time consuming and more efficient.

    Thank you!
