I try to insert footer and many of my spreadsheets will not have a footer. Header shows up fine, but the bottom of the page is the bottom of my spreadsheet. I do have all rows hidden except for my necessary data, is that why?
But I copy/paste everything on my one sheet onto another sheet in the same workbook and I get the footer.
Is the footer: (1) showing up on Print Preview and not printing, or (2) not showing up in Print Preview either?
If (1), check you have the correct paper size selected.
If (2), check the margin settings.
I can't guarantee those will fix the problem, but they're the most common causes in my experience.

If your problem is solved, please go to 'Thread Tools' above your first post and 'Mark this Thread as Solved'.
If you use commas as your decimal separator (1,23 instead of 1.23) then please replace commas with semi-colons in your formulae.

It isn't showing up when I got to Insert 'Header/Footer' so that I may edit the footer. I am not even to the printing stage yet
What happens if you try to insert a footer using the Page Setup dialogue box?
(Page Layout tab on the ribbon, click the little arrow at the bottom right of the Page Setup section, select 'Header/Footer' tab.)
It will show up in print preview, but I am unable to edit the footer. It seems to do with the hidden rows I think. I just did the 'unhide rows' and then went back to the footer and it showed up....
Very strange - I can't reproduce it at all. The closest I can come is if I hide all the rows I can't use the 'Go to Footer' button in Page Layout view, but I can still edit the footer by zooming out until I can see it (of course, Excel then won't print, as there's no rows to print).
