Using Format Painter with keyboard on multiple cells

Is there a way to use format painter for multiple cells with the keyboard? I usually navigate with the kb and have the FP in the quick access toolbar as #1, meaning I can use alt-1 to activate it.

This is fine when there's one cell/row/column that needs formatting (select source with shift+arrows then right/down) but when I need to copy the format down to multiple others (adjacent or otherwise) then you're back to the mouse.

This is a first world problem, but I would like to know if there is any way to do this?
