convert excel formal to math formula

hi all,

apologies for starting a new thread, i couldn't find anything similar to my question. which is...

i'm trying to convert the following excel formula:

min(4, 13-x)*y

into a maths formula but i've got no idea how to limit the answer to 4.

i need to use this in another program that does not accept statements like if and min.

can anyone help please?

many thanks for that but the formula still wont be accepted by the program we need to add it into. is there another way of writing this formula without using ',' and '()' and '{' ?

What is this program name? What format does this programm accept?
Seems like are the only one here who know and you're chellenging us to guess correct answer

the program name is grafana but they only accept lines of javascript code

Didn't you missed forum? I'm not familiar with javascript, but I thing it should accept if statments.
