need a simple line chart

Hi - maybe i'm just tired but I can't get a basic line chart generated. I've got two columns, one time (left column below), one value (right column below). I want time on x-axis plotted against values on y. I keep getting a msg about sparklines (funny, Excel forum spell check doesn't recognize that word and neither do I!), when I try to forge ahead recv error message 'bout how my data range doesn't fit, etc. Thx for your help!

Check your time column whether it is in time format or not, if not press ctrl + 1 and format the same as time

select you data go to insert -> choose line chart , its done

Thx. I'd already formatted as time, but re-did it and chose a diff format and it worked.
