Calculate total number of submissions

Hi,

I have an excel data record as attached. I need a total sum formula to be calculated before every new collection date and to be input on column I (Total on shipment) on the same row as the last collection date. I already have had some help on the formula but instead of culcation the total cells, I need this formula to calculate the total no in Column E. For example, after H4 is a new collection date which is 25 dec 16. So I will need a total sum formula to calculate the total no of submissions (which will be "4") to be in put on cell I4 only. Similarly after a new shipment date has been logged in, the total should be tabulated and input on column I. I hope I can get some help here. Thanks in advance. currently I have this as the base formula =IF(H2=H3,"",COUNTIF($H$2:H2,H2)). Thanks in advance.
