Newbie needs help transferring excel data from one spreadsheet to another

    Hello all,

I currently have a spreadsheet Id like to keep as a master spreadsheet, it has all the vlookup formulas. Everyday I get a updated spreadsheet from corporate however when I cut and paste the values and put it into the master all the formulas are gone. how can I cut and paste the data from the corporate spreadsheet, yet retain the original formulas in the master? hope this all makes sense.

    Thanks

    Hi, welcome to the forum

how can I cut and paste the data from the corporate spreadsheet, yet retain the original formulas in the master
    Short answer - you cannot

Try copying to another sheet (or somewhere else on that sheet) and run your vlookups against that?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

It would probably be better anyway, to keep your data on 1 sheet and your summaries on another sheet - that is pretty much the standard way to do this
