Hi
I am trying to to work out The calories required for a dog. The RER(resting energy requirement) gives an example of 70(10kg)3/4=400 calories - with 10kg being the weight of the dog. This is how it is worded in the article
(Resting Energy Requirements or RER), which can be calculated by multiplying the animal’s body weight in kilograms raised to the ¾ power by 70, for example, a 10kg (22lb) adult neutered dog of healthy weight needs RER = 70(10kg)3/4 ≈ 400 Calories/day.
I am not sure how to get to the 400 calorie answer
