Can we change the icon other than Excel's own green icon with an X on it?

I wana change the icon of my excel workbook to custom icon i.e( some image )

You can't change the icon in Excel 2007 (what I'm using). BUT, you can create another shortcut (say on the desktop) that points to your Excel Workbook .. then change THAT icon to whatever you desire.

What icons of Excel did you want to change?
In the ribbon or the Excel icon on the desktop?
For ribbon, you cannot change it.
For desktop icon, as Logit said you can create a shortcut to change icons:

•Right-click the shortcut in Windows Explorer.
•Select Properties from the context menu.
•Click 'Change Icon...'
