Re: Circular Reference error

Hi,

In the formula's tab, under formula auditing you can find where your circular errors are under error checking.
Looks like yours is on sheet "30 Apr-13 May" in cell E20 which is referencing itself.
Regards,
Stephen

Welcome to the Excel Help Forum.

TIP: one of the best, but probably under-utilized, features is the Evaluate Formula tool. Ribbon Menu >Formulas > Evaluate Formula

It will step you thru the formula so that can see how Excel resolves each argument and cell reference and can help to pinpoint errors.

While that is indeed a good way to ID where the circ ref is, it is not always that reliable. If the circ ref has been there for a while and you have added many more formulas, the CR may reference an error way further up the calc chain, necessitating deleting the cell (or range) that is pointed to, then the next cell/range etc until the error is finally removed. Make a note of the last deletion/correction, then UnDo all your changes, go back to that lasat fix and correct it
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
