I am trying to have a running percentage calculation however the input data is text not numbers. Where N=-7 and Y=+7. This is for a 7 day week. Example given.

I do not see any expected outcomes in the attached workbook.

You said you had given an example: I do not see any example outcome. Give us an idea of the outcomes you would expect from some lines of data in your workbook (manually calculated).

This will work in Excel versions 2007 and later. Sorry, don't have 2003 so can't test solutions for that version.
