Question Change excel setting to use , instead of ; in formula

    Good morning all.

I am used to using a comma ( , ) in excel formulas. I am however using a temp laptop and the formulas require me to use ( ; ). This is driving me crazy and I am not getting any work done.

I am not sure what the term for these , or ; in formulas are, but would appreciate it if anyone can assist in how I change these settings in Excel 2010.

An example: I want to say =if(x10="apple","happy","sad") but now I have to type =if(x10="apple";"happy";"sad")

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Marty

Find the Region & Language or Language in your windows
    Go to Format
    Additional setting
    Find List separator
    Change from ; to ,
    Apply

    should solve your problem

    Hi,

Thank you for the reply. There are however no additional settings in the language tab. (please refer to screenshot). Any other possible suggestions?

You can find the language or region & language setting in the control panel.
Point to start. In the search box, type language. I think you can find it

    Amazing!

Thank you. In the region and language section, this selection was under the region additional settings.

It is now sorted. Thank you very much!
