Copy Cell Contents without Border by defualt

Wizards,

I'm looking for a way to have data in a cell copy and pasted to another cell without copying the OG cell's border. I know this can be accomplished with paste special, on a per case basis, but 1) this is asking a bit much for end user and 2) we would use it a lot so all those extra clicks would get a bit overwhelming.

Can this be done by default whether it be setting default paste to all except borders, or another way of preventing any border changes in cells? I have the sheet protected, and they cant just edit the border of cells, but copy and paste seems to override this lock of cell border formatting.

I've changed some formatting around, and maybe my borders on the outside of the surrounding cells as opposed to the fields inside
the bordered area and accomplished what I'm looking for. Copying the cells where I have input no longer captures the borders as
they officially belong to the other cells.
