Hello Chaps
I used to use supercalc and it had a very nice feature which i cant find in excel
selected cells could be protected same as in excel
while these cells remained protected the whole work sheet could be selected and the
"selection pane" would cover the protected cells but not allow them to be edditted.
The advantage of this was that when all cells ( except protected cells)needed to be cleared
then it was easy to select the whole worksheet and press "delete" . all unprotected cells
would be deleted and the protected cells would be left unchanged. This was an easy way of
leaving all formula intact when copying the worksheet.
can excel do something similar?
regards
fred
