    Re: Date

How will excel know which month you want? Is it the current month and year?

    How many cells are involved?

You could get "auto finish" to kick in, but it would require a macro attached to the cell so that when you type the day, the month and year will appear.

    Regards,

    David

Please take a moment to re-read forum rule #1 and then amend your thread title to something that better explains your problem. Thanks!

What I am trying to do is that make just friendly entry so something like that: cell dd/mm/yy was already in that form and you just type e.g. 14 01 15 and it would display 14/01/15 and I want that during typing was shown slashes want to know if that is possible and if so , how?

@Stolba - you have been asked to amend your thread title. This is not optional.

I have adjusted the thread title at the OP's request.
