I have several columns in which data will be placed throughout the year. I want to lock the worksheet, but when I do it doesn't allow me to sort the worksheet. It says that there are cells locked and that it is read-only.
I don't know what I'm doing incorrectly. I've tried to unlock the cells of the whole worksheet and then protect the sheet, but the same message appears,I have another worksheet that does what I want, but this one cannot sort like I want. HELP!!! :'(
Highlight the area you want to unprotect the cells, go to format cells, under Protection tab, uncheck Locked.
It doesn't work. I want to protect the sheet (password: 1) and have columns I, O, & P locked so no data can be entered into it. I want columns A through O to have the ability to be sorted. Help? I try to attach the file, but it won't allow me. When I click the paperclip, nothing happens.
Did you tick Allow: Sort when you protected the sheet?

Is there a way I can add the file to the thread? I try to add an attachment, but I don't know if there is a glitch in the website that prohibits me.
In the reply dialogue, press Go Advanced, then scroll down to Manage Attachments.
