    sumproduct with 3 columns -- need to multiply with one column

    Hello guys!

    I need help one a sumproduct formula. I know sumproduct works by column times another column....but how do you sum a total of three columns and multiply it by one coumn to get the total amount.

    My formula that is not working is located in I24

    I have attached my example and any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

    it is not the cleanest solution but if you add the three columns in column K then apply the sumproduct between column I and K and you do get the desired answer..

    I am looking for a cleaner answer because I don;t want to add more columns to my report :S any other ideas out there let me know please if it is possible to do this with sumproduct....I do appreciate your help rcm and of course your time!

    =SUMPRODUCT(E2:E21*I2:I21)+SUMPRODUCT(F2:F21*I2:I21)+SUMPRODUCT(G2:G21*I2:I21)

    just upgraded your formula...perfect this should cover any data that enters in there!


    just now thinking how to include subtotal with this?

    actually your second formula is better than mine ! haha nice one :D
