Dragging Conditional Formatting forumla to apply to other cells.

So I created a conditional formatting on one cell but want to drag it and apply to other cells as well. So here is an example that I attached. You will notice my conditional formatting is still based on columns/rows "C3 to E3" but when I drag it down to the other cells down I want it to automatically change to C4 to E4, C5 to E5 etc...

    Any help will do thanks

Did not open your file (yet), but to appl CF to a range, select that range in the Applies To box in the 1st CF window
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

When you open the CF window, and you see your rule/s, just to the right of each rule is a box that is headed Applies To

That is where you specify the range that the CF will be applied to

Re: Dragging Conditional Formatting forumla to apply to other cells.

    Hmm...I don't think I was clear.

It is more on the =SUM($C$3:$E$3) so not where the range applies ...its more on the left side....you know how you create a formula and drag it down so it applies to each set of rows...more like that in the conditional side of things when you want it to apply to the other rows instead of doing it manually for each row...

so I want the next one to be =SUM($C$4:$E$4), =SUM($C$5:$E$5), etc...

so what happens when i drag the conditional formatting it says at =SUM($C$3:$E$3) which I don't want even when I change =SUM($C3:$E3)....removing the $ signs so hoping it would change to the next row # but it doesnt do that ....
