Hello.
I'm looking to build a small database. I'm structuring my data such that I would have multiple workbooks linking into a central workbook where my data is consolidated.
Is it possible to link data into my centralised workbook without opening the other workbooks? If so, how could I choose which worksheet to pull out from each of the workbook?

Hi Russ,
There is a new tool in Excel called Power Query that you can install as an Add-In to 2010 or 2013 Excel. It is built into Excel 2016 and called "Get & Transform".
If all your workbooks are structured the same way, you could use Power Query to pull in the workbooks, sheets and data that is appropriate for your Summary workbook.
