I'm running Office 2007 (Excel) on a Windows 7 platform fully up to date.
I have a couple of questions regarding the Ribbon.
1. When I open an Excel file (containing VBA Macros) it displays the "Home" Ribbon by default.
Is it possible to make it open in the Add-Ons Ribbon as default instead - either by selection of the appropriate customisation,
or in VBA.
2. The Add-Ons Ribbon, when open, shows two of my Custom toolbars, one above the other.
But the width of the ribbon occupies only half the screen's width,
and it is too high (the same as the standard Ribbon height), when it would be better to be just sufficient to cover the two custom toolbars.
Can these sizes be changed.
One of the custom toolbars is generated by the VBA itself and works fine.
The other was made as a custom toolbar in Excel 2003.
It is populated with standard buttons from the 2003 menu but one "non-standard" button should call up one of the macro in the VBA, but it doesn't.
The problem is, I can't see how to access what is attached to that button and edit it in Excel 2007 - whereas, I could in 2003.
Generally, if it were possible to make these changes in VBA that would be OK.
Guidance would be appreciated.
