Preference in type to be used for symbol

Respected,
I have to insert symbol in formulas in Excel 2016
-it a character so it will be displayed(using &)
Now that has to be latter copied to text/PDF .
So which character set should I use.
UNICODE(HEX)
ASCII(DECIMAL)
ASCII(HEX)

Why not just leave it at text?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Hi Ford Dibbins,
That formula takes care of USDINR, EURINR, DOLLAR INDEX, and YENINR in a single formula and putting its symbol can enhance the readability rather than using text, so I am asking it as when in edit mode of formula the option to include symbol is disable-greyed out in EXCEL 2016.(for EURO it is 128 in ASCII and AC20 in UNICODE)

Re: Preference in type to be used for symbol

Hi Ford Dibbins,
Please have a look at my other thread ---MID function problem---. This is very important as I know the solution but has to alter values in MID formula when needed(mostly once in 5-6 times used), and that requires too much accuracy.
