    Ranked Scoring

    Hi Experts,

I am looking for some advise on calculating the 1st, 2nd and 3rd highest score in a range.

For example i have a list of suppliers, of which we issued a questionnaire and noted the questions they failed on, and i am looking to find out which of the questions they failed on the most, 2nd most, and then 3rd most. I think i might need to join to formulas together such as MAX/OFFSET but i cant seem to make them work.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated, have attached a sample workbook as well.

    Re: Ranked Scoring

    Hi zbor,

It seems to work fine on my sample sheet, however on the live sheet i am working too, it shows #NUM! for some reason? Would you be able to help me understand how this formula works please? I might be able to work out what the issue is

    Thanks again!

I think you have put wrong column.
Wherever you are in your workbook this value is always at A column (row number is not important):

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Re: Ranked Scoring

    Hi,

I have updated the formula to show the offset in columns as the live work book requires the information in column M, and it has worked!

Took me a while to understand the formula is working around my integer values, its quite a smart formula!

Thanks very much for your help!

    Hi,

    Excellent formula zbor!!
However one thing I noticed is that when there is only 1 value in the row,the formula still returns top three values (based on the column no.)
I made a small edit to clean the data using CHOOSE.
I think there might be a much easier way to achieve this.

    Thanks

I was aware of that but didn't work on it.
You don't need choose and helper columns. A simple column calculating will do the trick:

    Formula: copy to clipboard
