Question Using vlook up formulas is there a way to pull color

I am using VLOOK up to pull my information over from a MASTER list to a MONTHLY list. On my MASTER I have my cells color coded to flag me as to what is missing. Is there a way to pull the color over along with my data so that I don't have to physically go back to each month and fill in the color?

You get better result on your question if you add a small excel file, without confidential information.

Please also add the expected results manualy in your file.

    1. It would help to see the workbook.

    To Attach a File:

    1. Scroll down to the window below your post Additional Options
    2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
    3. Click the button.
    4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.

In the window below the last post I clicked Reply, then Go Advanced. (because I do no see anything that says Additional Options)
When I click on the paper clip to attach files there is no Manage Attachments, the drop down is blank. There is no Browse to look for attachment. What am I doing wrong?

No, that can not be done.

Excel has no formula to copy the format of the cells.

If it has to be done you can use VBA.

But why not just filter on column B in the master sheet.

One advantage of that is have your backgroundcolor.

    See the attached file.

Maybe you could use conditinal format on the december 2016 sheet.

But as already said, I would use the filter.
