Drop-down lists, data validation

Hi

I am using data validation to control the allowed values for a cell.

The allowed values are in a named range. There are 2 types of values in the list which I will call 'positive' and 'negative' though these are not numbers, they are text.

To distinguish them in the named range I set the font colour to red for negative, black for positive.

When I create the drop-down list all options show up in black.

I am guessing there is no way of getting the drop-down list to show the colour.??

I can find a way around this, but does anyone have anything cunning ?
