Hi,
My first post of many - I would like to show in cell B1 the second number in cell A1 as a letter or word :-
Cell A1 - 12345 Cell B1 - RED
The number two represent RED and so on 1 = Blue etc...

so you mean =IF(MID(A1,2,1)="2","RED",IF(MID(A1,2,1)="1","blue","")) and you'll have to populate the rest using the same sequence. unless you are referring to conditional formatting.
