Convert a Pivot to a Raw Data

    Hi,

I have received a pivot table sheet where the raw data is not available (I have no other sheets with the raw data of it).

Is there any way that I can convert the pivot table to a raw data, this is when I do not have the source in hand?

    Thanks.

If you go to any cell in the pivot table and double click on it, Excel will open a new sheet with the source data that went into the computation of that cell. So if you have a grand total of both rows and columns and double click on it, you should get the complete source data.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

As said, I do not have the 'back end' of the data. The only available data i have is done in a pivot table. I don;t have the raw data, hence there is no way to double click on the pivot table nothing happens.

Ok I suggest you record a macro with nothing in it.
(view - macro - record macro then click Ok then click stop recording)

Now press alt F8 and find that macro and edit it.

replace that code with what I have.

After that click options and give the code 'hot key" (a key code that will make it happen maybe ctrl shift Q or something like that)
