Countif not working

A new one on me

I have a grid that simply calculates the area of rectangles up to 29 * 29 (a1:ae30)
I then have a simple countif to look for duplicate values (value in AG22 - answer in AG23)
But its getting some of them wrong !!
e.g countif says there are 3 cells with the value 783, even though there are clearly only 2 (I have put conditional formatting on to highlight them)

I have seen countif problems before, but only with complex text matches, never with bog standard integers

Your formula is working. Column AB is hidden and thus showing the additional 783, making it a count of 3. Please un-hide that row to see the additional number.
