Scatter chart needs lines to connect data points of same data series

Hello everyone....I have a chart in the attached Excel file. And I need to connect the data points belonging to the same data series with lines. i.e. for the data series "A"...I would like a line connecting the €7.99 value to the €21.49 value.

And for series F, a line connecting the €14.85 to the €17.85 to the €22.85 figures.

Do you have any idea how I can do this please? Help desperately needed and appreciated! Thank you very much indeed!

1st thing I notice is that you have selected a scatter chart subtype as markers without lines. If you want lines, I would probably select the chart subtype as markers with lines.

2nd thing I notice is the "gaps" in your data. You may need to change the "hidden and empty cells" setting, so that it will show lines across these "gaps". http://excelribbon.tips.net/T006289_...pty_Cells.html

Thanks MrShorty. So I guess the best thing to do is put in some fake numbers between on a linear basis...and then make the lines...and then change the data points of the fake numbers to invisible...so that its clear the line is simply an interpolation....does that seem sensible to you? Its annoying Excel can't linearly interpret itself to be honest....Thanks

You should not need to put "dummy" points into the gaps in the data series. If you change the "hidden and empty cells" setting to "interpolate", Excel should do just fine connecting the existing points with lines (unless those "empty" cells are not truly empty as they are in your sample file. If they are "functions that return empty string" kind of empties, then you need to use N/A instead of an empty string. See: http://peltiertech.com/mind-the-gap-...g-empty-cells/ )
