I am using primavera to run reports, and the way that it copies them to excel has the hierarchy separated by leading spaces instead of separating them into columns. Excel doesn't recognize that there is a hierarchy, just spaces. Is there a tool within Excel that could possibly recognize leading spaces as establishing a hierarchy, and if there are leading spaces, that data could be separated to a new column to the right? I don't know if there is some IF statement that I could do, like if there are 5 spaces, move to column B, and if there are 8, then move to column C?
How it currently is:
______A___________B___________ C
House
___Living In
______Parents
______Kids
______Dog
I want to know if this is possible:
____A____________B____________C
House
________________Living In
____________________________Parents
____________________________Kids
____________________________Dog
But this would be significantly more useful if that could happen:
_____ A____________B____________C
House___________Living In_______Parents
House___________Living In_______Kids
House___________Living In_______Dog
Or I would be fine with this:
_____A_________ B____________C
House________Living In______Parents
__________________________Kids
__________________________Dog
