Simply, imagine a 153 column sheet with fiscal data for each of 150 products, with column 1, being an inclusion indicator (hide or don't hide) column 2 being "Fiscal Results", columns 3 through 152 being product names, and column 153 being "Totals"
In column 1 is an indicator telling me to hide or not hide a column (filled dynamically from another worksheet)
Rows 5 through 50 are various financial information about each product. My challenge is to:
1, Show only the columns that have a "Not Hide" indicator in in row 1 of each column 3 through 14
2. Hide the others,
3. By hiding columns with a Hide indicator, the worksheet will always be as succinct and compressed (left justified) as possible, with the Total column always showing but only columns with data (again indicated by "not Hide") showing.
I am trying to develop a rather complex forecasting process for a manufacturing resource allocation effort, and want the sales forecast for the upcoming period to drive the resource forecast. Recognize that in many forecasting periods, most products will have now sales thus do not need a column showing when this is true.
I know there must be a simple way to do this. But can't find any literature to help me. Thanks for reading my post.
