I'd like a formula that adds all the amounts that appertain to one action, in this case interest accrued.
I'm guessing it would be an IF statement, such as IF column D = interest then add the amount in column E to give me a total amount of interest accumulated over a given span of time.
I can't get my head round the formula needed.

I am assuming column D will show the word "interest", and E is the amount of interest?
