    Excel Training Courses - Recommendation

    Hello,

I work in a company (In finance) so we all relatively have a fair understanding of Excel & it's uses. But we are looking to extend our knowledge into an "Advanced" excel course maybe involving/starting VBA, Macros etc.

Is there any companies that anyone can suggest that are well valued - In house or travelling is fine.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I can't suggest an advanced training course, but you may be able to do what we did at a prior place of employment, where all fiscal staff had the basic skills down pat. We started by brainstorming and came up with a list of things we wanted to know/learn/do better. We started monthly meetings where each staff person signed up to present an Excel topic to the group. The presenter learned the topic/idea/process and gave concrete examples how we could use it in our fiscal jobs. Made it fun and very cost effective.

Wish I was still with an Excel-knowledgeable group like that!

I'll toot my own horn on this topic. I've written a number of wikis for another group. They are located here: http://www.utteraccess.com/wiki/inde...Excel_Articles.

The topics I suggest are Tables in Excel, Offset and Dynamic Names, Dynamic Charting, and Array Formulas.

I live and die by MS-Query, but I'm really not satisfied with the wiki I wrote on it.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
