    Copying 400,000 cells into word

Hello. I'm trying to copy 400,000 cells (down a column) into word but it invariably causes word to freeze. I have numbers in the cells, and I need to put them in word so I can format it like a paragraph and add ";" after every number (it's to input into Business Objects). Any thoughts how I can copy it (other than 20k at a time) into word? Thanks.

Does it have to be in Word? I can paste .5E6 numbers from Excel into Wordpad nearly instantaneously.

What you are doing is very similar to creating a csv file. If you put a space or other useless and ignored character in the second column, you could simply save as a .csv file (specifying ";" as the list delimiter in Windows Control panel) and create the file directly from Excel without needing to pass through a text editor.

Can't I just add & ";" in a formula and then copy that into notepad, and then BoB? I think that should work.

Thanks. Mr Shorty. How would I put a space in 500,000 rows?

I tried copying into Notepad and it worked perfectly. I just don't know how to add the formatting in notepad ha.

How would I put a space in 500,000 rows?
    1) Select the desired cells
    2) Press spacebar
    3) Confirm with ctrl-shift-enter

or 1) Enter space in the first cell
    2) Copy
    3) Paste into the other cells.

    I don't see why not.
