Instruction box for other users

    Hi,
I don't know if it is possible to do what I want but I will ask anyway.

On my spreadsheet I have a column with dropdown boxes. Users can select Tier 1,2,3 or N/A for that column. What I want is an instruction box that tells them what those Tiers represent so that they know which one to pick. Ideally I would like that explanation box to appear when they hover the mouse over cells in that column.

If further explanation is needed, please ask!

    Thanks in advance

I don't have Excel 2010 here at the moment, but in later versions you can add a comment to the cell which appears on hover: right click and add comment. I think it's in 2010 as well.

The ability to add comments to cells has been in most versions of excel, i think to at least 2000
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thanks... I guess I was thinking that there was a function that was different to the comments function. But that works just as well and is simple to use so I'll use that.

    Cheers
